Dear Friends: Thank you again for your faithful prayers and support. We appreciate your part in the ministry to reach Spanish speaking people with the Gospel. The Lord continues to bless our church. During the last month Alegria, Rubio and Ariana have professed faith in Christ. We have increased our door to door visitation efforts during the summer. Many of our people are encouraged to see how God is blessing their efforts. During July, Dr. and Mrs. Mark Batory visited us for a few days. Dr. Batory is the director of our Mission Board. We enjoyed:the fellowship a lot. The Lord also opened the door for the Batorys to make some timely visits with us in which their personal testimony made a significant impact. We thank God for the Batorys and pray that God will continue to bless and use them in every area of their lives. We are excited about our plan to begin a Bible Institute in 2011. The Lord is already providing teachers. Pray as we work on the details of the organization. We want to make use of the experience of others to get the Institute off to a good start. Several church members are enthusiastic about the opportunity to study the Scriptures in a more rigorous way. We hope to train our church members to be prepared workmen and to equip men that are called to ministry. Our girls have been busy this summer. Lynda graduated from BJU in May with a degree in cinema and is working 45 to 50 hours each week on the new Christian film that the University is producing. Pray that God will bless the project with good weather and the leaders with wisdom as they direct the shooting. Mamie has been working hard as a summer intern with Cross Impact Ministry. Cross Impact is a local church centered ministry that works to reach college students on secular campuses. Heidi went on the Youth mission trip of Tri-City Baptist Church to Boston. There they helped the Colin Landry family and the church that ,Colin planted a few years ago: The Landrys went to Bosfon from Tri-City Baptist Church. We are encouraged to see Bernardo, one of Maria Elena's brothers, shake off a state of discouragement and depression. This began last year when their father was murdered in Mexico. The body was not found until many months after the crime. Bernardo has not been a believer long. Pray that God will continue to work in Bernardo's life and in the lives of each member of his family.
