Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Sorry that I missed sending a note last week.  Times have been hectic with preparation for the different conferences.

I am looking forward to the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship regional meeting starting Monday at 5:30/7:00.  Our theme is Perfecting the Saints for the Work of the Ministry.  The meeting will begin with a soup supper followed by the fellowship preaching service at 7;00.  If any of our members would like to help with the meal, call Pastor for ideas. Tuesday we will be meeting at Baptist Community Church in Afton starting at 9:00 am.  Coffee and donuts will be ready by 8:00.

Sept. 18-19 marks our long anticipated Annual Faith Promise Missions Conference.  The theme is Fellowhelpers to the Truth.  Bro. Wally Higgins will be the key speaker.  We are praying for an increase in the Faith Promise offering enabling us to increase our missions giving.

Prayer requests:  Remember Randy Broyles as he looks for a job.  Randy has moved to Star Valley with the intention of helping in the church ministry.  Remember the Sharon Wines family.  Several weeks ago I asked your prayers for her as she had lost her daughter.  This week her mother passed away in the local nursing home.  Thankfully Charlotte  knew the Lord as her personal Savior.

With the passing of Labor Day, snow birds start to trickle away to warmer places.  We certainly will miss them.

Lately I've enjoyed preaching a series of messages entitled "Be of good Cheer."  They are taken from each of the places where Jesus says, "Be of good cheer."
