| Sudan, the largest country in Africa, has been in the midst of a civil war for over 20 years. The Muslim militia in the North, known as the Janjaweed, has killed approximately 300,000 people in the predominantly Christian southern part of Sudan, especially among the Dinka people group. In addition, over 200,000 more from the South have been taken as slaves for Muslim families in the North and forced to convert to Islam. Still people are coming to Christ in the South in large numbers, even in the midst of persecution. Pray for God's grace for these believers to stand strong for Christ and that many Muslims will come to salvation. |
