The Schrimshires -- Your Missionaries to the United Kingdom
Dear Ministry Partners and Praying Friends,
We are finally back in the United Kingdom. There are many new laws with which we will need to comply.
It appears we will never have the freedom we enjoyed in the past, but we know there is a work that the Lord
still has for us in the British Isles. We arrived on the 9th of March and were able to stay with friends from Leek
while we searched for a house. The Lord answered prayer and reserved us a house to rent in the area we want
to minister. We are trying to get settled in and make a house into a home. It is proving to be very expensive, but
the Lord is providing. Some of the kind folks who we gave our household possessions to are returning them so
graciously.They have overwhelmed with their generosity and kindness. I preached Iast Sunday night at Leek
Baptist Church, and it was a wonderful service. The church was nearly full, and the fellowship afterwards was
sweet. We will be working harder to help them find a fulltime, national pastor. Help us pray for this to happen
soon.

NOT ALL SMOOTH SAILING: We had only been here two weeks, and Christine's mother fell very ill. They
discovered she had an acute bowel blockage and have operated on her to relieve this. Naturally we are very
concerned and a bit anxious as her mom is 95 years old. The doctor said she went through the operation like a
trooper, but she did develop some breathing problems in recovery. Please add Pearl Sullivan to your prayer time
that God would give her complete recovery and renewed strength. As of this writing, she remains in Intensive
Care. Hopefully, this will soon change and she will be recovering.
We are planning and preparing for one of our new ministry opportunities already. I have been able to share my
burden for market place soul winning with people I have trained in soul winning in the past and have received
an enthusiastic response. My prayer and prayer request is for God to raise up a team of men and women from
our past works here to assist in this outreach ministry. I will be visiting venues and talking with officials for
expanding "Reaching Them" ministries into the festivals and flea markets ("car boot sales") through middle
England. Pray for favor in the sight of these officials as no one has done what ! am proposing and they are bound
to be skeptical, if not hostile, to the idea. I know this advance for souls in the market places of Britain
will be opposed by our Adversary and must be bathed in prayer. Will you join me in praying about this unique
outreach ministry?
Please pray for some people who have received tracts and for a man I spoke to with serious questions for me
until I questioned him about his own soul condition before God. I did not get his name because he was off
like a shot as soon as it got personal. This is so typical. Pray for souls to be saved, believers to be discipled and
equipped, and churches to be established. These are difficult and exciting days ahead of us. Thank you for sending
us and standing by us in prayers and financial support.
