Dear Praying Friends,
We have a new building that will be our new location for the Near North Baptist Church. We’ve been praying for several years now for a location that will meet our needs as well as to give us exposure (we’re presently meeting in the basement of the City Centre).
This building has about 3000 square feet and is going to cost us about $75.00 a month less than we’re presently paying. It is located next to the Bowling Centre on Main Street at the major intersection of Fisher and Main. All utilities are included in the monthly rent which is another blessing. Our plans are to have it ready to move into on May 1st.
I’d like to share with you a testimony from a 28 year old lady in our church. She writes: I learned that the reasons I go to church are different from the reasons a lot of other people go to church. A lot of people go to church because their friends are there, because they like the music, because there are good programs, because they like the pastor, because they have a nice building, and the list could go on and on. I go to Near North because.. 1. The Bible says to! Heb. 10:26 2. My pastor preaches the Word of God... all of it! 3. We are encouraged to practice what we learn in God's Word 4. Our beliefs, doctrines, practices, convictions, and standards all come from Scripture 5. We are encouraged to evangelize 6. I am spiritually fed, and I grow 7. I get good, solid doctrinal teaching from the Bible 8. A stand is taken against worldliness, drinking, false teaching, etc. (I John 2:15-16 ) I believe that because I'm in a church for the right reasons it actually makes it harder for me to leave. If I were in a church for these other reasons, I think it would be easier to leave, because I'd be more likely to get offended since I'm not there for the right reasons in the first place.
This is only one of the many fruits that abound to your account because you cared to send a missionary…. Thank you for your support of $150.00 in January and $150.00 in February 2010.
For His Glory
